A Perfect Spot of Tea

HADLEY—On Saturday, August 9th, Bob Ackermann will continue the thirtieth season of the Porter-Phelps-Huntington Museum’s “A Perfect Spot of Tea” series. During the music, guests relax on the back veranda and enjoy the recreated 18th-century afternoon tea with pastries and Earl Grey donated by local businesses.

Bob Ackermann is a pianist and vocalist from Amherst. He plays a selection of classic love songs, ballads, and selections from The Great American Musical from artists such as Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Richard Rogers, Oscar Hammerstein, and Cole Porter.

Admission for “A Perfect Spot of Tea” is $10.00 per person, and seatings are at 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. The Porter-Phelps-Huntington Museum is located at 130 River Drive (Route 47) in Hadley, two miles north of the junction of Routes 9 and 47. The museum is open for guided tours Saturday through Wednesday from 1:00-4:30 p.m., and by appointment.
