Wednesday Folk Traditions with Youssoupha Sidibe, June 13th Rescheduled to August 1st

WEDNESDAY FOLK TRADITIONS RESCHEDULED TO AUGUST 1 2018 WITH YOUSSOUPHA SIDIBE DUE TO STORM PREDICTION

Due to predicted weather, the Porter-Phelps-Huntington Museum reschedules its first Wednesday Folk Traditions concert to Wednesday, August 1, 2018 with a performance by Youssoupha Sidibe.  A Grammy-nominated Senegalese Master Kora player, Sidibe breaks with tradition to create a new genre that blends aspects of western music with Reggae, ancient African Harp styles and West African traditional and devotional music. Wednesday Folk Traditions will continue on June 20, 2018 with a performance by Zikina featuring fusion of traditional East African instrumentation, Jazz, and Funk. Visit the museum’s website at www.pphmuseum.org or call at 413-584-4699 for the most up-to-date information regarding the concert series.
